The planting project installed 35 acres of native emergent and submersed aquatic vegetation into Lake Hancock including the following species pickerelweed, giant bulrush, alligator flag, jointed spikerush, spatterdock, and eelgrass. This project was cooperative funded by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners, Southwest Florida Water Management District, and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. |
