| Description |
The purpose of the Simmers-Young Park Water Quality Improvement project is to reduce nutrients leaving the existing pond and therefore improve the water quality of Lena Run through a treatment train approach. The project implements the following water quality control measures, a pond outfall Bioadsorption Activated Media (BAM) upflow filter, floating wetlands, a nanobubbler to improve dissolved oxygen within the pond, and two rain gardens and a bioswale with native plantings and BAM. |
